Frequently Asked Questions

The questions asked most often before booking a chalet, glamping, camping site or water activity at Pasakon Beach. The full policy always remains the final reference.

Booking & payment

How do I book at Pasakon Beach?

Bookings and payments are made on this official website. Pick your check-in and check-out dates on the Availability page, choose a chalet or lot, enter the lead guest's details and the number of participants, then pay through Billplz by online banking (FPX), card or e-wallet. A booking is confirmed only once full payment is received and a booking ID is issued; the confirmation and receipt are emailed to you. The lead guest must be 18 or older, stay at the resort and take responsibility for all occupants. Make sure your party does not exceed the capacity of the unit you choose before paying, and keep the booking ID to show at check-in. Special requests such as early check-in or adjoining units depend on availability and are only guaranteed once management confirms them in writing.

Can I cancel a booking and get a refund?

Yes, depending on notice. Cancellations 72 hours or more before the scheduled check-in time receive a 100% refund of the Booking Fee. Cancellations under 72 hours before check-in carry a 100% cancellation charge, and no-shows are not refunded; the unit may be released for resale. Notice is counted from the scheduled check-in time for your unit - 3:00 pm for chalets and 1:00 pm for the campsite and glamping. Cancellation and amendment requests must go through the official booking or contact channel and take effect only once management confirms them. Refunds go back through the original payment method; bank or payment-provider processing can take longer than our side does.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A RM50 security deposit is collected from the lead guest at check-in for each unit, separate from the Booking Fee paid online. It is refunded after the unit is inspected at check-out, subject to deductions for damage, loss or exceptional cleaning. At the campsite, damaged or missing rental equipment such as tents, tables, chairs and the BBQ pit is charged at actual replacement cost. In chalets, the ban on smoking, vaping, cooking and open flames inside the unit is tied to this deposit too. Have cash or a transfer ready for the deposit on arrival, and report any existing damage to reception as soon as you check in so it is not counted against you.

Can a booking be transferred to someone else?

Bookings may not be transferred, resold or assigned to another person without prior written approval from management. The lead guest must be 18 or older and stay at the resort.

Check-in, check-out & opening hours

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Chalets: check-in from 3:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 noon. Campsite and glamping (Glamping Lot, Picnic Hut and Group Hut): check-in from 1:00 pm and check-out by 12:00 noon. At check-in the lead guest shows the booking ID and identification, registers every occupant and pays the security deposit. Reception closes at 7:00 pm; if you expect to arrive later, arrange a late arrival and get management's confirmation beforehand, because unarranged late arrivals cannot be guaranteed. Early check-in and late check-out are special requests subject to availability. Quiet hours 11:00 pm to 7:00 am apply across the resort for everyone's comfort.

When is Pasakon Beach open?

Day trips are open Wednesday to Sunday and public holidays, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; on Mondays and Tuesdays that are not public holidays the resort does not take day visitors. Overnight chalet and campsite guests follow their unit's check-in and check-out times and can stay across those days according to their booking. Reception operates until 7:00 pm on every operating day. Water activities run within day-trip hours and depend on weather and sea conditions; during school holidays and long weekends we recommend booking early because lots and chalets fill up fast.

Are quiet hours enforced?

Yes, quiet hours are 11:00 pm to 7:00 am for the comfort of all guests.

Children must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult, and guests who cannot swim or have medical needs should tell us before booking so we can advise whether the activity is suitable. Management may postpone, reschedule or cancel an activity when weather, waves or sea conditions are unsafe, under the weather-related cancellation policy. In an emergency, call Malaysia Emergency Response Services on 999 and notify resort management as soon as it is safe to do so.

Location & groups

Where is Pasakon Beach and how do I get there?

Pasakon Beach is at Pantai Beringgis, Kg. Beringgis, 89500 Papar, on the west coast of Sabah, Malaysia - about 20 km from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) and 25 km from Kota Kinabalu city centre, heading south towards Papar. The drive usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. The easiest way is to set "Pasakon Beach Camp Site" as your destination in Waze or Google Maps and follow the route towards Papar; your own car or e-hailing from Kota Kinabalu is the most practical option. Guest parking is available inside the resort, at the vehicle owner's risk. Our Location page has direct direction buttons, opening hours and the list of facilities on site.

Can I book for a group, a school or an event?

Yes. The Group Hut takes up to 10 people overnight (15 with extra guests at RM15 each) or 20 on a day trip; the Picnic Hut 5 (7 with extras) or 10 on a day trip; the Glamping Lot 4 (5 with extras) or 8 on a day trip, and several lots and chalets can be booked together for larger groups such as family days, school camps, team building or small events on the beach. For a large group, send the dates, the number of adults and children, overnight or day trip, and the activities and catering you want through the Group Packages page or WhatsApp; we reply with an official quotation, followed by an official invoice and receipt after payment. The group's lead guest must be 18 or older and is responsible for all participants.
